What is life, if not a game? 'A Twisted Life' is a textile work expressing the surreal motions that one goes through when trying to separate the professional from the personal. Inspired by Maria Helena Vieira da Silva’s La partie déchecs, this work explores boundaries, or lack thereof, when playing the game of life. For some, playstyle is calculated and assured, and for others, it is in disarray — 'A Twisted Life' presents a combination of both bending to life's will.
