My artistic practice is a critique of the representation of the female body through fragmentation and abstraction. Through a diverse range of mediums, including photography and screen-printing I aim to question how a photographic practice can shift the lens of representation of the female body from subject to object. Reclaiming my female body as an object that is suppressed from the vulnerability of desire whilst acknowledging the importance of studying self-image. Exploring how the installation can truly shift the space and representation of the body. The methodology of overthinking, this inevitable need of desire from the opposite sex.
