A&D ANNUAL 2022

Anna McLennan

Households create the largest proportion of plastic and organic material in Australian waste management. To counter Australian consumers’ poor performance in household recycling, 'Sticky' proposes a reward system for households. Based on an investigation of how families feel about waste within their homes, 'Sticky' proposes a communication strategy that builds an engaging learning scenario through the collection of stickers in an album. Designed for children aged 7-11, the sticker collection album replicates stamp collection and sports card albums, and is designed to expand users' engagement with greater understanding, and develop better habits with domestic recycling and waste disposal in Australian homes.
