A&D ANNUAL 2022

Anna Seymour

Anna Seymour’s work documents the natural world as relational and interconnected. Using drawing and walking, she fosters engagements with the earth that are eco-sensitive. This exploration is in response to dominant forms of relating which seek to take and extract from the environment. Anna asks whether we can dismantle these destructive ways to allow relationships of mutual care. Drawing and walking are re-examined as acts which embody a connection-making; where different parts are joined and threaded together. Through this perspective her work intends to function as a form of diagram, to demonstrate the intrinsic linkage among all beings.
