A&D ANNUAL 2020

Asteria Huang

Asteria Huang’s design project addresses the issue of stray animals in city areas. Particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, urban sanitation and protection ethics have intensified contradictions in handling stray animals. This project is underpinned by animal protectionism and aims to alleviate these contradictions and improve the connection between animals and humans. In response to United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 3 'Good Health & Wellbeing', this project focuses on disseminating knowledge about zoonotic diseases through the development of an app, and also involves the design of temporary shelters for animals.
