A&D ANNUAL 2021

Cameron Totaro

Cameron Totaro’s ceramic practice focuses on the materiality and experimental nature of ceramics. Having completed a science and fine arts double degree, the experimentation inherent to ceramic practices is a large part of their practice and draw of the medium. Recent works have focused on imagery of snakes and flowers, while also making small ceramic sculptures as a form of escapism during the last year, focusing on cute imagery of dog-like creatures. This has evolved into experimentation with integrating soft textile mixed media elements to contrast the cold heaviness of ceramics.
