Chenxi Zhang/Hilda

Chenxi Zhang/Hilda is a designer, maker and thinker specializing in textile design, illustration and biomaterial explorations. Her project Marine Reconstruction uncovers potential commercial value within traditionally discarded marine by-products. Throughout the project Chenxi recorded the number of resources utilised within the process, and in doing so asks the audience to make their own decision regarding whether or not it is an eco-friendly work. Chenxi’s values of thinking and reflecting through creative expression always lead her to create responsible and thought-provoking design.
