Debora Vecchi

Debora Vecchi is an Australian/Italian artist based in Sydney. Her latest series, ‘Self Focus’ explores her daily life and intimacy. Debora intentionally uses contrasting colours to suggest a stronger reaction to figurative representation, aiming to further investigate the human body, its anatomy, and the lights coming from the different subjects. Debora started her series to represent the marks, and the struggle she suffers daily from her skin condition. This led to the realisation of her cohabitation with such a skin condition; therefore, she began looking into the most intimate aspects of her life, letting the people closest to her become part of this cohabitation.
