A&D ANNUAL 2020

Jane Michaele Cameron

Jane Michaele Cameron currently teaches design and art theory in higher education. Prior to that, she studied sculpture at East Sydney Technical College and design at UTS, and worked as a graphic designer. She has lived and worked in India, Japan and Germany. Jane’s art practice has focused on themes around storytelling, and the preservation and distortion of memory through installation and drawing. Her current work in animation and drawing explores possible future scenarios as directed by events relating to climate change in Australia. Her recent project 'ANThropocene: embracing trouble’ speculates on the survival and future evolution of ants in a post-human landscape.
