A&D ANNUAL 2022

Jess Montecinos

Jess Montecinos is a media artist practicing on the Gadigal Land of the Eora Nation (Sydney). Using mixed media, her work explores her creative ideation through light, geometry, and space to explore varying types of aesthetics. These outputs are achieved through unconventional processes, by experimenting with space to bridge digital and real-world engagement. In her work ‘Taking a pause’, Jess explores the benefits of creating a space that is dedicated to relieving her audience of the overstimulation we experience through our built environment and the sensory overload we face with consumerism.
