A&D ANNUAL 2022

Liam Black

Liam Black is an Anglo-Canadian-Australian movie maker, media artist and photographer based on unceded Darramurragal Land. His work promotes a less oppositional understanding of humans, technology and ecology in their co-constitution in and around the fragments and fractures caused by colonial-modernity. His moving image work is situated within the slow drama and eco-cinema tradition while critically engaging with the process and exhibition of those genres in a performative manner. The audience is encouraged to purchase a DVD in the Galleries with the proceeds going towards a charity as indicated on social media near the exhibition date.
