Mareena Thomas' design proposition responds to the grand challenge of the increasing fashion waste in Australia, the second largest country contributing the most textiles waste. Targeting the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 12: 'Responsible conception and production', this proposition designs a collection of garments from used fabric and industrial waste as a solution to throw-away culture which can bring awareness among the general public on the huge wastes which they contribute to.
