A&D ANNUAL 2021

Meichen Meng

Meichen Meng's work aims to reduce waste and environmental pollution by recycling coffee grounds, to enhance responsible consumption and production patterns, and to ensure efficient management of resources. Coffee grounds are used in natural dyes, fertilisers, bio-sorbent, furniture, fuel resources, construction, biodegradable plastics, biodegradable coffee grounds cups, and coffee grounds paper.Meichen responds to Sustainable Development Goal 12: responsible consumption and production patterns, through recycling coffee grounds. The ethical considerations of this project are to promote coffee shops and businesses to reduce environmental pollution and achieve sustainable consumption and production. Meichen is focused on launching a coffee grounds RRR campaign to reduce coffee grounds waste, increase the reuse of coffee grounds, and recycle coffee grounds for application in diverse fields.
