A&D ANNUAL 2021

Michelle Lau

Michelle Lau is an interdisciplinary designer working primarily in graphic design and 3D visualisation, with an interest in user experience and brand design. In Michelle’s recent projects ‘Studio Aid’, she aims to assist UNSW School of Art & Design students in studios through a mobile application. ‘Studio Aid’ is an intervention designed to simplify the complexity of learning a variety of safety procedures for different laboratories. ‘Studio Aid’ provides information about UNSW studios to students, allowing them to access information about different studios more conveniently. The application is also linked with the UNSW School of Art & Design campus resource centre which allows students to access information about the tools vacancy and studio availability timetable. It also incorporates the studio badges checklist which allows students to finish gaining required badges before working in different studios.
