A&D ANNUAL 2020

Yeqin Li

After the outbreak of COVID-19, according to a survey, nearly half of Australians felt more than moderate loneliness. Further studies have shown that this increases the frequency of some mental illnesses such as depression. In order to overcome this problem, Yeqin Li designed a virtual travel software. By simulating the real world and letting people travel in it, this project addresses issues caused by social distancing and lack of communication, while responding to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 11 ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’. This project aims to not only assist the end-user, but provide benefits to governments, hospitals, and technology companies as well.
