Inclusion Exclusion is a campaign designed to unpack an ethical dilemma faced by the media and journalism industry to expose cultural and geographical biases which fracture and divide society. Comprised of three core components using compelling and confronting messaging projected across a public installation, signage and social media to target university students who are studying media and journalism. The campaign combines theoretical media and creative disciplines in a purposeful manner to address the severity of the issue, prompting audiences to think critically and question why some stories are deemed newsworthy.
Alessandra Fasanella is an aspiring designer and media practitioner within the digital media industry. Incorporating a tailored, distinctive yet critical approach towards her hybrid professional practice, her philosophy is intrinsically connected to addressing issues surrounding the human condition to create inspiring work which resonates with others. Studying a combined Bachelor of Design and Media (PR & Advertising) has allowed Alessandra to incorporate her creative and theoretical disciplines in a purposeful and authentic manner. Her commitment to her craft is guided through her core personal values of empathy and integrity where she is relentlessly inspired to generate impact and awareness through her work.
