Snakes and Ladders Up-cycled Quilt
During my internship at Kala Raksha, Preservation of Traditional Art, in India, I was given a project brief to design a range of products for Kala Raksha's "Up-cycled" collection that utilizes production off-cuts as well as damaged fabric.
A fun and bright children’s quilt was created by piecing eight hand embroidered fabric Snakes and Ladders board games together. Some of the material used was water damaged and these pieces were covered with appliquéd game pieces.
