A&D ANNUAL 2020

Boran Zhang

Boran Zhang is a product designer based in Sydney. His research addresses the recycling habits of people living in Sydney, particularly plastic waste, and investigates how improved plastic waste recycling in public spaces can reduce potential marine pollution. The design purpose of this product is to guide and cultivate Australian consumers to participate in the habit of recycling, and provide corresponding non-monetary feedback to participants, thereby reducing the damage of plastic waste to the environment. The ‘Plastic recycling monster’ will not be limited to only recycling plastic bottles, any plastic products can be recycled and processed by the machine, and then printed as a 3D model.
