Brynn Elysia
Brynn Elysia is a visual artist working on unceded Gadigal and Wallumedegal Land, whose practice plays with fantasy, storytelling, and sex. Through her multimedia installations, she reimagines sex as a cultural performance and investigates public manifestations of sexiness. She defines fantasy through the exploration of desire, voyeurism, and imaginative pretend play. In her project, she uses textiles, photography, and satirical worldbuilding to reimagine sexual performativity as fiction. In the installation ‘Salacia’, Brynn documents a world that has forgotten how to have sex. Her practice prioritises creating spaces in which pleasure can be explored as playful and fun.
