Theory Capsule

When: 8 - 14 December, 10am - 5pm
Where: AD Space, E Block, Level 1

Encounter the research projects of the Bachelor of Art Theory (Honours) cohort in a physical format beyond the written thesis. Each student has curated a personal drawer within a filing cabinet, gathering materials that shape or reflect their research. Inside, visitors may find images, objects, items of inspiration to the writers, works in progress, written excerpts, or audio recordings.

The Annual Party

When: Wednesday 10 December, 6pm - 9pm
Where: Paddington Campus, UNSW Sydney

Join us on campus to celebrate with our graduates and view the artworks and designs they created for The Annual 2025 exhibition. The recipients of the TWT Excellence Prize, The Ross Steele AM Fine Arts Prize and The Frost* Design Prize will also be announced on the night.

Student performance works will be presented throughout the night, DJs will spin tunes, and food and drinks will be available.

In the Flow: Text within Artistic Practice

Five multidisciplinary artists and designers to reflect on relationships between text, language, and ephemerality within contemporary practice. Through a series of short readings, each artist shares paratextual writing—notes, poetry extracts, and narrative sketches—developed alongside their projects.

Redefining Agency: Feminist Embodiment in Material Practice

Hear from four artists and designers exploring how feminist embodiment is reimagined through innovative material practice. In this roundtable discussion, the artists reflect on how the body can hold knowledge, question inherited gender expectations, and create space for new forms of expression and agency.

In an age of digitisation, where our photos and memories live mostly on our phones, this zine-making workshop invites you to slow down and rediscover the joy of working with your hands. Led by three artists and designers, together we’ll reimagine and materialise our digital traces into handmade archival zines.
