Helen Holder

Helen Holder's work is inspired by a visit to Fowlers Gap in the Australian outback, exploring the layered histories and transient nature of the land. The arid creek beds, scattered remnants, and ever-changing skies become metaphors for time, memory, and our fleeting presence. Through multi-layered screen prints, she abstracts the landscape into separate layers and forms, reflecting both wonder and disconnection. Each print captures the complex interplay of permanence and impermanence, echoing the ancient rhythms of place. This series invites viewers to consider their relationship with the land, its stories, and the histories that continue to shape Australia's cultural and physical landscape.
