‘Birdhaus’ is designed to rethink the unsustainable golf industry, waste management systems and wildlife conservation by shifting the needle towards circular and ethical values. The project's mission is to rehome birds, by repurposing collected materials to create durable nestboxes for golf course vegetation areas away from dangerous chemicals. The project reports 'at risk' bird species through engaging, citizen science graphic design interventions, offering an informative awareness campaign to change the way the community interacts with golf courses. ‘Birdhaus’ represents the new wave of ambitious design graduates and progressive golf enthusiasts who are having a 'swing' at closed-loop, nature-positive projects.
