Keni Li
Keni Li’s ‘PoopBot – Growing Voices, Growing Minds’ addresses emotional suppression among children in grade-focused East Asian households. By turning handwritten or drawn feelings into playful ‘pooped’ seed notes, ‘PoopBot’ helps children initiate safe emotional conversations with their parents. The robot uses humour, indirectness, and growth metaphors to bridge generational gaps. Funded through sponsor–school partnerships, each unit supports multiple families across five years. This project advances SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by fostering emotional expression, mental wellness, and child–parent equity in communication, building relational habits that last beyond the product itself.
