Mei Lin Meyers

Mei Lin Meyers is a disabled, queer, trans and Chinese-Anglo artist who lives on unceded Wangal Land. Through retrofitting found and familial objects, Mei Lin creates playful installations that embrace sensorial, ancestral, and embodied ways of being and knowing. Mei Lin loves ginger, lemons and containers, and these motifs are repeated throughout his drawing, assemblage, and ceramics-based installation practice. He explores ginger as a culturally significant spice that generates alternative modes of resistance and care. Mei Lin creates multifaceted works that aims to offer multiple access points.
