nath gee

nath gee investigates how reproductions of trauma responses and feelings can be affected by the material and tactile qualities of textiles and fibres. They believe that there is a hidden connection between trauma studies and art practices rooted in fibre. This focus on fibre is an inherent interest that stems from the belief that, as cloth and textile are made of fibre, so too is the body and mind. The materialisation of experience and trauma is intended to create a version of the internal self as an external vessel by which a transitional object can be made.
