Rebecca Boon's work explores the quiet coexistence of wildlife within urban environments. ‘CoExist’ is a series of projected mural animations that feature three threatened species: the Powerful Owl, Eastern Bent-wing Bat, and Grey-headed Flying Fox, whose habitats are increasingly disrupted by urbanisation. Designed for children and families, the bold illustrations use colour and movement to spark curiosity and engagement. Through immersive day-to-night animations and a looping nature soundscape, Rebecca invites viewers to connect with the urban environment and become more aware of the wildlife that lives among us.
