Redherring

REDHERRING is an artist working and living on unceded Gadigal Land. His research-based practice materialises the invisible affects of queer life. Drawing on queer theory, he deconstructs masculinity and challenges linear narratives of identity and time.

From the archive of memory, he transforms personal objects into spectral forms, manifesting a perpetual presence, where the lingering affects of trauma are made visible. This manifestation of ‘queer haunting’ is a form of seance that allows him to reorient his own history and offers reparative justice through healing and forgiveness.
