Rui (Rose) He

Rui (Rose) He is a Chinese artist graduating from a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art & Design. Her practice explores memory, pain, and dream states through repetition and perception. Working in black-and-white film and object-based sculpture, she values the discipline of exposure and contrast in the darkroom, and the intimacy of small-scale works. Recent projects include palm-sized ‘infinity boxes’ made from mirrored acrylic, glass, 3D-printed parts, and lights, staging endless scenes that reflect cycles of emotion and invite close, contemplative viewing.
