‘Press Sense’ is a collection of fashion devices for the regulation of young people's generalised anxiety disorder. When persistent uncertainty develops into chronic anxiety, it can fluctuate throughout the day. This project offers a range of wearable coping aids to facilitate the self-regulation of heightened anxiety. Each adornment applies acupressure according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, offering non-invasive relief by targeting pressure points that relieve anxiety, and stimulate tactile pleasures for the skin. ‘Press Sense’ aims to reestablish the bridge between mind and body through the exploration of wearables for mental health.
