Skye Wallace

Skye Wallace visualises psychological self-multiplicity through her surrealist painting practice. Using embodied self-portraiture, she unpacks her post-traumatic female identity as both the subject and object of inquiry. By composing translucent fragments of herself co-existing within a visceral realm, Skye constructs narratives that externalise internal encounters and expand perceptions of selfhood. These personal narratives explore conflicting roles of each inner self, revealing the self-relationships that emerge and linger in the aftermath of trauma.
