Solveig Yin-Mai Johnston

Solveig Yin-Mai Johnston combines her love for illustration with skills in graphic design, conceptualisation, and 3D modelling in her feature project ‘Amplify’. This project explores how graphics and visuals can uplift and support people with disabilities without sacrificing boldness and fun, through the concept of festival branding and wayfinding. Her designs move beyond conventional symbols, representing a broader spectrum of ability. By reframing elements from the often-mundane blue accessibility signage, Solveig creates signs and illustrations that are full of life, as well as clear and communicative.
