Stella Cooper

Stella Cooper is a multimedia artist based in Helensburgh on Dharawal Land, where bushland, coast, and river shape her place-based practice. Through painting, sculpture, and film, she explores ecofeminist and environmental concerns, alongside human interactions and the female body. Having lived internationally from a young age, Stella’s experiences inform her love of people and diverse perspectives. She has exhibited at Goodspace Gallery, UNSW Open Studios, UNSW Confluence, and was nominated for the 2025 UNSW Jenny Birt Award. Her work for the UNSW Annual 2025 reflects on beauty standards, objectification, and the gender binary through sculpture and installation.
