Trinity Johnson
Working on Gadigal land, Trinity Johnson is an artist who is interested in post-photographic documentation, citing the dual in/visibility of the body under dominant systems of control. Working through feminist and decolonial frameworks, her work prioritises the careful handling of information in regard to trauma by using a dense layering of fabrics and faded transfers withholding specifics. Ideas of tension and comfort arise with the suspended and stretched nature of the work, feeding into the discussion of memory, nostalgia, and experiences trauma.
