Becquerel's Cross
Gunpowder and acrylic paint imprinted by handmade stamps on paper. 200cm x 134cm Henri Becquerel discovered that Uranium salts were radioactive in 1896. On a photographic plate he used to test the salts, he placed a silver Maltese cross. The radioactive salts marked the paper by emitting their spontaneous energy. A ghostly outline of the cross remained.
