‘Scrapbooks’ is an online tour that investigates the role of documentation in creative practice. The selected artists and designers use documentation as material or personal evidence of the making process, or as a catalyst for the work's production. Each invited artist makes their methodology explicit, sharing processes of searching, collating, making, scrapping, and refining that occur before the work materialises in the gallery space.

These pieces of documentation become records of the artist’s lived experience, their relationship with their surroundings, and the temporal encounters of the everyday. This ultimately reveals certain dichotomies of artmaking: laborious and soothing, intimate, and social.
